Known for its stunning vistas, lively community, and modern aesthetic, Miami Beach is a vibrant city that has been sculpted into the city it is today through the vision and dedication of Genesis Business Humanity Club member Jerry Libbin. Noted for his extensive contributions to the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, his impact on education, his efforts in promoting public safety, and his dedication to enhancing the unique character of Miami Beach, Jerry Libbin has continually proved to be an intrinsic pillar of the Miami Beach community.

As President and CEO of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, Jerry Libbin represents the myriad businesses and organizations that comprise the economic engine of Miami Beach; in his role, Libbin has consistently connected these community members to foster economic growth and development throughout the thriving city. 

However, Libbin is not limited to any one avenue when confronted with improving the lives of the Miami Beach population, spurring forward a plethora of policy initiatives during his time as chamber President and City Commissioner. In addition to networking opportunities with some of the region’s top executives, Libbin has initiated deliberate positive change addressing various areas, including fiscal responsibility, public education, international trade, neighborhood improvement projects, sustainability, and arts and culture.

Renowned for its unique collection of architectural styles, which includes Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, MiMo, and the Miami Beach School of Architecture. Travelers to Miami Beach can expect to discover an open-air museum of 20th-century architecture at almost every turn. The preservation and enhancement of this unique character of Miami Beach has been a priority for Jerry Libbin, who has played a pivotal role in preserving the historic character of South Beach and evolving Miami Beach into a global destination. 

Alongside other influential individuals, Libbin has displayed consistent determination to the development of the city as a commercial and cultural hotspot. Through Libbin’s personal investment and the collective efforts of his colleagues, Miami Beach has successfully preserved its variety of artistic styles while simultaneously promoting inclusivity, creativity, and diverse pedestrian activity throughout the area.

Libbin has organized significant events that celebrate and support the exceptional diversity that encapsulates the Miami Beach community. He organized the first Veterans Parade, which has become an annual tradition in Miami Beach. He also launched the Inaugural Badass Women of the Year Event, presented by the Miami Beach Chamber Women’s Business Council, which recognizes and supports women and young girls in the community.

Throughout his career, Libbin has continually solidified himself as a visionary, always displaying leadership and forethought for the future. His recent induction into the Miami Beach Hall of Fame proves this. Known for his dedication and contributions to the city, Libbin has left a lasting impact on the local business community and beyond. As the former President and CEO of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, he has played a vital role in fostering economic growth and promoting the interests of businesses throughout the area.
